Limited Edition Dyfi Shandals® - Size 7

£135.00

This is our Limited Edition Dyfi Children’s Lace Up Shandals®

For this pair we have used offcuts from our limited edition, locally tanned leather all hand tanned in Jane Robertson’s micro tannery just down the road from us in Machynlleth. This leather is perfect for allowing their small feet to move and develop freely.

Jane uses traditional methods with only 4 ingredients - Bracken, Tree bark (Oak, Willow Alder and Spruce), Willow and Water. It’s full of natural character and each pair is has a completely unique finish. The tree barks are harvested by hand and boiled to extract the tannin. Once the skins sit in bark tannins for a few months - the skins are then boiled using vegetable oils, beeswax and pine resin/birch tar which are harvested from the Dyfi valley.

The leather is so soft it becomes like a second skin in no time at all. It is also fully lined in soft sheepskin, also tanned by Jane.

Allow little toes to move and develop naturally in soft flexible leathers, made in harmony with the shape of natural healthy toes. The sole is broad at the toe box and narrow at the heel, allowing little toes to develop naturally, while also encouraging maximum flexibility.

The soles are made from a 3mm soft leather to allow their feet to embed into the soles. The inner sole is backed with a replaceable recycled tyre tread sole with no heel to be as close as possible to bare feet. The outer soles are fully replaceable when they wear down.

All our shoes and boots are designed to fit your unique foot shape, Built to Last and repairable when the soles wear down, giving them a new lease of life for decades to come.

  • Lace Fastening

  • Recycled soles

  • Foot Shaped - to allow little feet to spread into their natural form.
